Just to annoy some folks here, it's clear that a TCP-unfriendly subnet
like the one described in the URL below is a strong argument for
adjusting TCP along the lines of what some of the narrowband-radio
people ask for from time to time.  Otherwise how are stations suffering
behind lossy/error-prone (and notably WIRELESS) connections going to 
be connected to the Internet at large?
