I also believe that "normal" web service apps are better served with
an application level solution like the one Lars mentioned. Still, this
brings about a question I'm interested in:

Are there (applications using, requirements for, ...) web services out there
which really DO require network QoS (i.e. have strict delay bounds, require
throughput guarantees... something like this)?

AFAIK, web services are mainly for business application, but I guess that
the notion of "composed web services" can lead to quite a delay overhead -
does anybody care?
