was that the IP router R
would be on the primary VLAN (in this case, Z), and so R needs to 
receive at least some broadcasts from
the secondaries -- the ARP/ND queries, for example.

It seemed to me that VLAN Z traffic (unicast or multicast) has to be 
legally accepted by all links
in Z, A, B, C, and D. And that VLAN A traffic (unicast or multicast) has 
to be legally accepted by all
links in A and Z.

There might be some applications that only want to stay within VLAN A. 
But how are RBridges to
know which are supposed to go to Z and which aren't supposed to go to Z?
