To everyone on this list: PLEASE do not "LIKE" or interact with this page. Jon passed in 1998, as you know, 5 years before Facebook ever existed. He never had a page on this or any other social networking site, and whomever is running this should stop misrepresenting themselves. If anyone here can help, please let me know. There are *many* FB pages about public figures, and no social networking site is going to take down a tribute page that is not otherwise agains the TOS. This is not an individual impersonating another. I suspect they don't really understand what is going on. See http://www.facebook.com/page_guidelines.php "Only authorized representatives may administer a Page for a brand, entity (place or organization), or public figure." It's not clear who an "authorized individual" would be for someone who has died except the managers of their estate, and they (the family) aren't involved and did ask for its removal (and got nowhere). Thankfully this list - and others - responded quickly and effectively. Yes, there are pages for people whose estate has long since disappeared (Mozart). It's bizarre. IMO this is yet another area where Facebook isn't monitoring its system properly.
