[e2e] Number of persistent connections per HTTP server?

Mozilla recently started to support pipelining: I don't know what their
connection policy is.  Things work better the fewer connections you have,
(slowstarting 4 connections takes longer to move the data than moving the same
data over one connection, even ignoring additional packet overhead).

Opera has pipelined for quite a while.

I don't think IE does, or at least it didn't the last time I went looking
(quite a while ago).

It is time for someone (not me; I've got other fish to fry right now)
to get some packet traces on current browsers and see what they are doing.
