one place nfv is making inroads is route reflectors. those who do not believe that the data plane should be congruent with the control plane (i am not among them) like the cost saving of not having the fancy forwarding silicon. they trade the risks and and ops costs of strange failure modes and ugly debugging for capital cost savings. randy
